Discussing and Debating the Unseen and Unknown and Unbeknownst:

Early this morning I very briefly watched on TVO (Television Ontario) a discussion of the new Sex-in-Schools curriculum being discussed and debated by the host of The Agenda (S. Paikin) and a panel of experts (chosen and invited by whom?) and specialists .

.

Why were they debating about a curriculum that is yet-to-be-seen? Where is the draft? Why is it hidden? Who has hidden it? Why cannot the public and affected compare and contrast the 15 year old curriculum to the new one side-by-side and see with their very own eyes the differences and similarities and betterments?

.
This is an excellent example of the Infinite Wisdom of The Authority and their agents and blindness of the supporters, voters, pollers, and FLATTERERS.

.
This document is being debated by schools, parents, religious communities, and non-religious communities, experts, specialists, legal advisors, advocacy groups, foundations, communities, and institutes and everyone and anyone.

.
But have they looked closely at the draft, have they seen the document?
Do they want to know who authored the document? Who approved it?
Is this how things work in responsible democracies?

.
How much funds were allocated to this undertaking, and who reviewed and approved the budget, and spending and verified the expenses? How much more funds are just waiting to be expended and where will they come from?

.
Is the scope of this International, National, Provincial, Municipal? Is this a Federal undertaking or Provincial?

.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PARTICIPATORY DEMOCRACY AND AN AUTHORITARIAN TOTALITARIAN DICTATORSHIP OF DESPOTS IN THE GUISE OF A DEMOCRACY?

Moreover, it is wide-spread knowledge that the public and people may and shall and will not take the name of The Government in Vain !

.
There are known officials who ignore and fail to respond to communication addressed to them, I have witnessed it and have proof !!!

.
Why bother writing to these so-called officials and representatives of the public?
Why even take the trouble voting, polling, participating, and discussing?

.
WHY HAS THE DRAFT NOT BEEN POSTED ON THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION WEB-SITE AND PUBLISHED IN THE NEWSPAPERS AND BROADCAST ON TELEVISION AND ON THE RADIO???

.

Why has it been kept such a secret? Who are the authors, and what deficiencies in the previous curriculum were they trying to address, and in which ways?

.

The satire aside, it would have been to everyone’s benefit if the data, facts, information, and curriculum would have been made freely and publicly available. Had that been done, then The Government would have been acting in the spirit of a true and good democracy, and representative of the peoples, and a faithful and sincere trustee.

.
Alas, that was only a but a dream, and a nightmare at that for none of it happened and never will. There was No Transparency, No Accountability, No Responsibility, No Good Conduct, and the entire exercise had been carried out under-covers and labelled: “Classified & Top-Secret” in utter bad-faith.

.
Will any lesson be learnt from this, can we expect better?
Will it be business as usual?

.
Will voters and the public go out in droves and congratulate the authors and architects and praise them and worship them and bestow them with gifts, presents, treasures, grain, corn, garlands, songs, dances, poems, hymns, donations, charity, taxes, votes and other flattery?

.
What will change?
What changes do we want?
Are we an unconscious civilization?
